Article 102 gives everyone “the right to respect for his private and family life, his home and his correspondence” (Constitute Project, “Norway [[Probable year::1814]]  rev. However, it appears this was amended sometime after [[Probable year::2004]],  as the version with amendments through [[Probable year::2004]]  does not have this language in Article 102 (Constitute Project, “Norway [[Probable year::1814]]  rev. [[Probable year::2004]]” ).

Article 102 of Norway’s 1814 Constitution states that “inquiries in private houses are not permitted, unless in criminal cases.” The 2018 Norwegian Data Protection Act additionally protects personal data and implements the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (“Data Protection Law,” 2024).
