|contents=The first assertion of the freedom of religion in Tajikistan is the 1994 Constitution post-independence from the Soviet Union. The right is found in article 26 which allows the individual, or group to adhere to any religion or lack thereof as well as allowing ceremonies, cults, and rituals to be performed in the country.

Freedom of religion is protected for Palauan citizens under Article IV, Section 1 which states “[t]he government shall take no action to deny or impair the freedom of conscience or of philosophical or religious belief of any person nor take any action to compel, prohibit or hinder the exercise of religion” (constituteproject.org).
