Article 78 of the 1990 constitution guarantees the "freedom to practice or not to practice a religion". The Constitution of the Kingdom of Morocco was ratified on 1 July 2011. Articles 3 grants freedom of religion; Article 19 bans all forms of discrimination include beliefs. Article 3 declares Islam the official religion of Morocco.
