Armenia
The 1990 Declaration of Independence of Armenia guaranteed freedom of the press. Article 42 of the 1995 Armenian Constitution described freedom of the press in greater detail: “The freedom of the press, radio, television and other means of information shall be guaranteed. The state shall guarantee the activities of an independent public television and radio offering a diversity of informational, educational, cultural, and entertainment programs” (Constitute Project, “Armenia's Constitution of 1995 with Amendments through 2015” ).
