While the constitution of Côte d’Ivoire does not protect freedom of religion per se, it does prohibit discrimination based on religious grounds in Article 4: “All Ivoirians are born and remain free and equal in rights. No one may be privileged or discriminated against by… their religion or belief…” (constituteproject.org).
